| As a guest Master Teacher, Moni Yakim conducted seminars in London, Moscow, Vienna, Oslo and Hong Kong, and has been invited to lead sessions of his own method of acting in universities and drama schools across the U.S. He is recipient of ATME’s (Association of Theatre Movement Educators) Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to theatre movement. He is the author of the widely read book Creating a Character: A Physical Approach to Acting. As a personal physical acting coach, Moni helped many Stage, Film & Television actors prepare for their roles (on a very selective basis), among them Ryan Gosling, Harvey Keitel, Brittany Murphy, Michael Night and Peter Weller. |

| Over 25 years of its existence, the Yakim’s Performance Theatre Center presented numerous full length Mimo-dramas, created by Moni and Mina Yakim and directed by Moni. A great number of mimes who studied directly with Moni were involved in the following productions: TALES OF THE GOAT–MAN: Premiered at Princeton’s McCarter Theatre, moved to N.Y.’s Vital Arts Center, toured across the U.S. followed by a month long tour in Israel. RAPE-EARTH, ANIMAL, LIBERATION: Two months’ run at P.T.C. RAGS TO RICHES: Two weeks at Brooklyn Academy of Music. Music by Aaron Copland and Scott Joplin. With St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble. THE EMPEROR’S NIGHTINGALE: Carnegie Hall, Rutgers University, Brooklyn Museum & on tour. Music by Hans Wener Henze. With the Contemporary Chamber Ensemble. LA BOUTIQUE FANTASQUE: A week at Carnegie Hall. Music by Rossini. With St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble. THE SILENT SONG: Lecture demonstration performed in schools in New York, Long Island and New Jersey. THE SILENT STAGE: At P.T.C. & on tour. WALK INTO THE NIGHT: At P.T.C. & on tour. | The Yakims — An Evening of Mime premiered at the New Bowery Theatre and subsequently toured the U.S. and Canada. The Yakims — Journeys premiered at Town Hall, then for the next twenty years toured in regional theatres, colleges, universities, community centers and resorts all over the U.S. and Canada.
